3 New Eagle Scouts Print E-mail

Troop 65 is proud to recognize four new Eagle Scouts: 

 

Elliot is a freshman at West Virginia University.  As part of his Scouting experience, Elliot experienced week long backpacking adventures to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Weminuche Wilderness in Colorado.  For his Eagle Scout Project, Elliot coordinated an effort to improve the West Virginia Raptor Rehabilitation Center in Fairmont.  His project constructed bird habitats and cages along with a wheelchair ready visitor’s trail.

Ross is a senior at Morgantown High School.  As part of his Scouting experience, Ross attended the 2010 National Boy Scout Jamboree, experienced Philmont Scout Ranch, and enjoyed week long backpacking adventures in the Adirondacks of New York and the Weminuche Wilderness in Colorado.  For his Eagle Scout Project, Ross planned and led the effort to restore the meditation and reflection trail for Calvary Chapel.  The work included tree and brush removal, installing stone steps, and rerouting parts of the trail.

Ethan is a senior at Trinity Christian School.  As part of his Scouting experience, Ross attended the 2010 National Boy Scout Jamboree, experienced Philmont Scout Ranch, and enjoyed week long backpacking adventures in the Adirondacks of New York and the Weminuche Wilderness in Colorado.  For his Eagle Scout Project, Ethan led a group a volunteers at the West Virginia Raptor Rehabilitation Center to add a split rail fence to separate visitors from the birds and to construct privacy barriers for the bird habitats.
